What is

RF ( Radio Frequency )

RF (Radio Frequency) are energy waves which in this treatment are used to heat up the deep layer of the skin.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

A device with fine needles or pins creates tiny punctures into the top layer of the skin which then allows the RF to be delivered to the deep layers of the skin (the dermis) where it’s needed most. This energy softly and gently heats the dermis to approximately 60 degrees Celsius causing constriction and tightening of the skin as well as stimulating collagen, elastin and hyaluronic production, further enhancing skin tightening and scar reduction. Because the RF is delivered so deeply it will produce faster more evident results.

RF Skin needling can be used as a preventative treatment for skin that is beginning to show early signs of aging and skin laxity. RF offers similar results to invasive laser procedures but without the cost, discomfort and downtime.

RF skin needling is more effective at breaking up scar tissue than the traditional skin needling.

WHAT TO EXPECT POST TREATMENT

Redness
Mild heat sensation
Possible swelling
Possible itchiness
Possible flaking of the skin

AFTERCARE

Do not apply any lotions/moisturizes until the heat has subsided
Once redness/swelling has subsided, hydrate skin regularly
Avoid using any active skincare Eg: glycolic or vitamin A/retinols and exfoliants for 7 days after treatment
Apply sunscreen regularly
Must avoid saunas and spas for 7 days post treatment

HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE NEEDED?

A series of 6-8 treatments spaced 6 weeks apart is recommended for optimal results with a booster session every 4-6 months.

Clients see signs of improvement within one week with more noticeable results developing 4-6 weeks after the procedure.

Results are more evident after the second treatment, but optimal results appear 3 months after the last treatment.
